Terms

These terms apply to buying originals and prints at artistikath.de. They are written for consumers. If you buy as a business, consumer rules — including withdrawal — do not apply.

The language version of the shop you use and check out in is the agreed contract language.

Version: 14 September 2026.

Original — a unique work, the piece itself. Originals come with a certificate of authenticity.

Print — a reproduction in the listed size, not unique.

You buy the physical object, not a commission — unless you and I have explicitly agreed otherwise.

When you put an original in the cart, I hold it for you — usually about 30 minutes. That is not a purchase yet. When the hold ends, someone else can take the work.

During Stripe checkout the hold lasts until that checkout session ends. Prints are not unique and are not held this way.

Works shown in the shop are an invitation to make an offer. By paying at Stripe you make a binding offer. The contract is formed when Stripe confirms payment.

I then send confirmation and invoice by email. Pay immediately by card or PayPal. No direct debit, no bank transfer on invoice.

You do not need an account. You can save or print these terms. You can change the cart until you pay. You enter the delivery address at Stripe.

The euro price on the work is what you pay me. It includes VAT where VAT is due. Shipping is in the price — checkout has no separate shipping line.

Stripe may show the tax breakdown. That does not change that this is the total price to me.

Originals ship from Hanover within 14 days of payment, at the latest within 30 days. I have prints made and shipped by my print partner — often in a separate parcel. Your contract is with me, not the print partner. Shipping is in the price; checkout has no separate shipping line.

Delivery to DE, AT, CH, NL, BE, FR, LU, IT, ES, PT, IE, DK, SE, FI, PL, CZ, GB and the US.

Switzerland, the UK and the US: import VAT, customs duties and handling charges are not included in the price. You pay the charges that apply in the destination country.

Buying the work gives you ownership of the physical piece — not the copyright (§ 44 UrhG). Reproduction, merchandise or commercial use beyond the piece you bought is not allowed.

Displaying the work you bought at home is of course fine.

Statutory liability for defects remains.

I do not take part in consumer arbitration. The federal universal arbitration board is at verbraucher-schlichter.de.

Use the shop only for genuine inquiries and purchases — no automated scraping, no disruption of operations, no unlawful content in messages.

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence stays in force.
